V. 深淵 The Abyss 及 Daath (דעת)


在過了Binah後，去下一個Sephirah之前會出現一個深淵。這個深淵是分離上半部及下部的生命之樹，因為其後的生命之樹並不再是以純粹的靈性出現，而是以靈感及想法表現出來；同時也是可以以意識來察知它們的存在。在深淵中會有一個看不見的Sephirah Daath。這不是一個真的Sephiroth，但可以助意識通向生命之樹的上部。



VI. 仁慈 Chesed (חםד)

Key Word: Builder

Yetziratic Title: The Cohesive/ Receptive Intelligence

Physical Representation: Jupiter

這是在深淵後的第一個、也是白柱中的第二個Sephirah。當上方的能量(即經歷完Chokmah和Binah的改變)流到此地時，將會開始改變其質量，變得物質化並型成架構。這個階段亦和把抽象的想法變得實在的過程相似。

Chesed在白柱的第二位置，它的能量和Chokmah很像，但較低層次和更實體。不同的是，Chesed的能量是女性化的，而且傾向把能量化為形象或現實。這是因為這股力量正在揉合男性及女性的特質並開始凝結。

Sepher Yetzirah (創造之書)中形容：It is so-called because it contains all the holy powers, and from it emanate all the spiritual virtues with the most exalted essences: they emanate one from the other by the power of the Primordial Emanation, the Highest Crown, Kether。


VII. 力量Geburah (נבורה)

Key Word: Energy

Yetziratic Title: The Radical Intelligence

Physical Representation: Mars

這個Sephirah另有兩個名稱：審判及恐懼。

Gaburah中專責把之前形成的形象打破，因為所有的能量在成為實體前必需要接受兩方的試煉 – 即仁慈及嚴厲兩方。經過這試煉後，多餘的形象、能量等都會消去。不過，如果試練過度則被視為邪惡。和Binah相比，這些試煉更困難，原因是Gaburah位於深淵之後，及更易被我們所觀察到。

Sepher Yetzirah (創造之書)中形容：It is called the Radical Intelligence, because it resembles the unity, uniting itself to Binah or Intelligence which emanates from the Primordial depths of Wisdom or Chokmah。


VIII. 美麗 Tiphareth (תפארת)

Key Word: Beauty

Yetziratic Title: The Mediating Intelligence

Physical Representation: Sol (Sun)

這個Sephirah在生命之樹的地位較重要。首先，它平衡了前兩個Sephiroth – Chesed及Geburah兩者的力量，達到完美平衡的狀態；另外，它亦是生命之樹較下部份中最直接反映Kether的特質；同時，它也是分流器，把來自上方的光芒分散到生命之樹中不同的地方。可以說，這Sephirah是所有通向上或下的過渡區。

Sepher Yetzirah (創造之書)中形容：It is called Mediating Intelligence, because in it are multiplied that influence to flow into all the reservoirs of blessing, with which these themselves are united.

直到Tiphareth為止，以上所有Sephiroth都是Macrocosmic archetypes(大宇宙的原型)；而之後的四個Sephiroth則是Microcosmic，或Lower Self，或個人特質的原型。當人進入深度冥想或超我狀態時，也可以形容為連繫到Tiphareth。他們會感受到和宇宙合一、看到超我的存在、和守護天使溝通等。Tiphareth亦同時主管能量治療。
